Denmark does not want Microsoft

The Danish Ministry of Digital Affairs wants to switch completely from Microsoft® and Office 365® to Linux® and LibreOffice® by fall 2025. Admittedly, Denmark is a country with almost 6 million inhabitants, so it is much easier to carry out such an action than in Germany with its almost 85 million inhabitants. In my opinion, it is not the number of computers that is important here, but the fact that Denmark has taken this step. Because the first step is always the most difficult.

In Germany, we have both the companies and the capacity to free ourselves from the American software colony existence. Two of these companies are Ionos and Nextcloud. They are in the process of setting up an alternative called IONOS Nextcloud Workspace.

I am curious to see how this will continue and I believe that as many companies as possible in Germany should switch over. Because soon we will have an alternative and a safe haven for our data.
